Pre And Post Care Instructions
Proper pre-care and post-care are essential for achieving the best results, ensuring long-lasting and beautifully healed brows. Follow our detailed instructions to prepare for your appointment and maintain your results.
Pre-Care Instructions
To ensure the best results, follow these guidelines before your appointment:
- Avoid Caffeine:No caffeine of any sort on the day of your appointment.
- No Alcohol: Refrain from consuming alcohol for at least 24 hours before your session.
- Skip Botox and Fillers: Do not get Botox or fillers within three weeks of your appointment.
- Protect Your Skin: Avoid sun exposure that could lead to suntanned or sunburned skin before your session.
- No Waxing or Threading: Do not wax or thread the treatment area for at least one week prior.
- Discontinue Retinol and Salicylic Acid: Stop using retinol or salicylic acid at least 30 days before your appointment.
- Avoid Blood Thinners: Refrain from using vitamin E, aspirin, or other blood-thinning medications one week before your session.
Post-Care Instructions
Proper aftercare is essential for optimal healing and long-lasting results.Daily Care
- Clean the brows gently: Wash the area in the morning and evening with an unscented, gentle cleanser (e.g., Cetaphil) and cool water. Pat dry with a clean towel.
- Apply aftercare balm: Use a rice grain-sized amount and apply it in the direction of hair growth with a Q-tip or clean fingertip.
What to Avoid During Healing
First 10 Days
- No makeup on or around the tattooed area.
- Avoid sweating (e.g., exercise), as sweat contains salt that can affect pigment retention.
First 14 Days:
- Avoid swimming, hot tubs, saunas, and steam rooms.
- Avoid heavy sun exposure. Wear a hat if you need to be outdoors.
First 30 Days
- Do not use products containing retinol, hyaluronic acid, alpha hydroxy acids, or ceramides near the treated area.
Additional Notes:
- Do not pick or peel any scabs that may form.
- Avoid applying products to the brows other than the recommended aftercare balm.
